Accommodation and support available

Certitude has been providing brilliant support to Londoners living with learning disabilities, autism and mental health support needs for 30 years. We have a range of both Registered Care and Supported Living opportunities available in our friendly homes across London.

The support we offer

People-centred

Our support is individually tailored to each person. We listen carefully to the person we are supporting, as well as the people who know them best, to help us understand what is really important to them and what will ensure that they live safe, well and happy lives.

Family-focused

Our Family Support Team can provide emotional and practical advice, and hands-on support such as providing information on accessing benefits. The team are able to provide the additional support the family need throughout the lead up to the move, and after they have moved in.

Fully trained

Our teams specialise in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health support needs. They are trained in epilepsy, dysphagia, postural care, mental health first aid, end of life support and more.

Hannah's* story

Hannah has complex learning disabilities and always found day centre environments difficult. “We encouraged Hannah to go outside and go for a walk but were always unsuccessful,” says a family member. “It was the hardest decision for us to allow her to live independently.”

Hannah moved into a shared house managed by Certitude. Working with her family and Certitude staff, Hannah created her own  person-centred support plan aimed at reducing instances of distress and improving communication. Hannah’s confidence has grown immensely. She visits the cinema, takes part in cooking classes and enjoyed her first meal in a restaurant with her family since she was four years old. She was even able to attend her sister’s wedding.

“The staff have been great in supporting both Hannah and her family,” enthused a family member. “Hannah has always had a lot of potential and now she is able to flourish.”’
