Learning Disability England Conference 2021

The theme of this year’s Learning Disability England conference is Staying Strong, Getting Stronger. There will be six conference sessions plus daily lunchtime catch up and chill sessions spread over three days, the 9, 10 and 11 March.

These are the conference sessions:

Tuesday 9 March 10am to 12pm ‘One Year On: Our experiences and stories from the last year’.

The speakers include Katie Peacock – Gr8 Support Movement, Inclusion East (Matt Howard, Jo Hough and Sara Kent), Dorset People First (Kerry Martin, Ellie Crawford and Chris Mellor), Aisha Edwards – Lewisham People’s Parliament, Alex Ruck Keene – 39 Essex Chambers, Claire Doherty – Chrysalis Cumbria, and Sarah Thomas – Shropshire Parent Carer Council.

Tuesday 9 March 1.30pm to 2.30pm ‘Made Possible: stories of success by people with learning disabilities – in their own words’

Saba Salman, Dan Pepper and Gary Bourlet and the ProActive community group members

Wednesday 10 March 10am to 12pm ‘So… what’s Changed?’
