Since the first London Marathon in 1981, runners in the race have raised more than £830 million for charity, making it the largest annual one-day fundraising event in the world.
The 26 (and a bit) mile course takes in all the iconic London sites, including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye.
Team Certitude will be there on the day to cheer you on and provide support!
Running for Certitude means you are raising life-changing funds for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health support needs across London.
Every penny you raise goes directly to the people we support and is used for activities such accessible music sessions, digital art workshops or assistive technology.
Donations can pay for things like:
- assistive technology to help people we support be more independent and help them communicate
- free online accessible arts, music, and crafts workshops
- gardening equipment so people can grow and produce their own fresh ingredients to use in their cooking
Run with Certitude and you’ll receive:
Runners will receive a finisher’s medal, t-shirt, and recovery bag when they cross the finish line.
We will set up a JustGiving page for you and you can then send the link to all of your family and friends to get some donations. Our Fundraising team will be able to help and guide you with reaching your fundraising target.
