Annual Review 2019

High marks from the Care Quality Commission

We are loving that our most recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings are ‘Good’ across all our residential care support and ‘Outstanding’ for our two domiciliary care agencies as of August 2019.

The CQC measures our performance in terms of providing safe, caring, responsive, effective and well led support and these ratings demonstrate that Certitude is committed to continuously improving support and that we are achieving locally what we say we will do at an organisational level. These ratings from CQC mean Certitude is one of the highest rated care providers in London.

Listening to and acting upon what people and families tell us is important about support is as important to us as external regulatory feedback.  The CQC were particularly impressed with our ‘Quality Checkers’ who are people with lived experience who check out the quality of our support by visiting houses and talking to people. The unique perspective they bring and the benefits of having this independent reviewing process contributed to our ‘Outstanding’ rating in domiciliary services.

We were also delighted to see that the CQC acknowledged our positive approach to risk management. Our commitment to safety is paramount but we don’t let this stop us from supporting people to live their lives to the full.
